We got the family membership, i’m really glad we did. It’s turned those random free afternoons into easy little outings, which I’ve come to really appreciate. I love being able to say, “Let’s just stop by for a bit,” without feeling like we have to plan some big full-day trip to make it worth it. Some of my favorite memories have ended up being those unplanned visits where the kids are excited, we’re relaxed, and it just feels simple. The discounts are a nice bonus too. My only complaint is that I wish some of the member info was easier to find or clearer on the website. But overall, it’s been worth it for us, and I’m happy we joined.

I had a good time messing around with the interactive stuff on the Adler Planetarium website before we went, or maybe it was the night before, I can't remember exactly. The sky maps and space info were simple enough that my kid could play with them too, which was nice. A few pages loaded kind of slowly for me, so it wasn’t totally smooth, but overall it made planning the trip more fun and gave us a better idea of what we wanted to see once we got there.

The bus stop was really close, so getting around was a breeze. Made the whole trip feel super easy and stress-free.

The shows were genuinely so much fun, like there is zero doubt in my mind about it. I had a great time and would 100% tell anyone to check them out.

The staff got back to me really quickly and were super helpful the whole time. They made everything easy, which was great because dealing with confusing processes can be ridiculous.

I went to one of the night events and had a good time. The staff did a solid job keeping everything moving, the lines weren’t bad at all, and the sky show was cooler than I expected. It had a nice mix of science stuff and chill vibes, so it was easy to enjoy even if you’re not a huge space person. I’d definitely go again.

I ended up liking the location way more than I thought I would. It’s right on the lakefront, the walk over was really nice, and you get some great city views too. Definitely an easy place to hang out for a relaxed afternoon.

I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous at first because I always worry something won’t be as good as advertised. But it turned out fine, and the kids really had fun. They were happy the whole time, so I’m glad we gave it a try.

I stopped by the gift shop after visiting the Adler Planetarium and ended up finding some cool stuff. They had a lot of space-themed toys, shirts, mugs, and little gifts for kids. The prices were a bit higher than I expected, well, I guess that’s normal for museum gift shops, but still worth browsing. The staff was friendly, and checkout was quick. I do wish there had been a few more affordable options, but overall it was a nice place to pick up a souvenir

I went for a sky show the seating was comfortable overall. The seats leaned back enough, and for once I didn’t leave feeling all stiff and sore, which was a relief. The only thing is, the rows felt a little tight whenever people had to walk past, and of course I felt like I was the one constantly having to shift around and make space. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did make me feel a bit boxed in at times. Still, I had a good time and I’d probably go again

I assumed it would be simple just from the layout, and it was. The site was easy to use, clear, and I didn’t have to spend much time figuring anything out

The ticket prices felt fair for what you get. We spent a few hours there and didn’t feel ripped off at all. Booking was really easy too. If anything, I’d blame myself for not planning a little earlier because it ended up being a smoother experience than I expected

I had a really nice time at Adler Planetarium. The exhibits were super interesting, the views outside are worth the visit alooone. The staff was helpful too when we asked where to head next, which made things easier. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because of the crowding. A few areas felt packed, especially around the popular exhibits and shows. Still a fun experience overall, just needed a little patience moving around...

Just a quick warning to other parents: don’t sleep on adlerplanetarium.org if your kids are curious about space. I used it with my kids and was surprised by how helpful it was. The info about planets, telescopes, and space in general is easy to understand without feeling like a boring school assignment. We ended up learning a lot together, and it kept their attention way better than I expected. Definitely a solid educational site worth checking out

My son didn’t want to leave, like i said, he was having that much fun. We had such a good experience, and like i said, he would’ve stayed all day if he could.

Went to Adler Planetarium the other day and saw one of the dome shows, though I can’t remember exactly which one it was. The visuals were really sharp, and the whole dome setup made everything feel huge without being overwhelming. The sound was good too, clear but not blasting, and I could hear the narration just fine. The music worked well with it too. Overall, it was a really nice experience.

I really wanted this to work better, but I ended up getting lost way too often. Maybe it was me, but the directions just didn’t feel clear enough when I needed them. I’d take a turn, second-guess myself, then suddenly I’m circling around like I’m on some accidental sightseeing tour. On the bright side, I did find a decent coffee place during one of those wrong turns, so not a total loss. Still, I wouldn’t want to rely on it if I was in a hurry

There were definitely a few cool things I enjoyed, but a lot of it felt old and not as fresh as they made it sound. I was expecting more based on what was promised, so it was kind of disappointing to see that only some of it lived up to the hype

I had a really good time at Adler Planetarium, i’m a little mad nobody warned me the cafe would be this decent. We grabbed sandwiches, snacks, and coffee between exhibits, and everything was fresh enough, quick, and easy. The seating area had a great view too, which made it way nicer to just sit and take a break. Yeah, the prices are still those annoying museum prices, so blame the usual tourist-spot markup for that, but they weren’t completely outrageous. I’d happily eat there again.
